Beat Converter

The Beat Converter can be programmed to send out a Note or Control Change message on the beat in response to MIDI Clock messages. This enables devices that only allow their tap tempo function to be controlled by a Note or Control Change message to be synchronized to devices that send MIDI Clock. 
The Beat Converter is programmed by sending it MIDI System Exclusive messages (read theProgramming FAQs for more details). For a complete description of the programming options, see the Beat Converter Operating Instructions. Once programmed, settings are retained even after power is removed. The Beat Converter can be reprogrammed with new settings as often as needed.
The Beat Converter is MIDI-powered, and requires no batteries or power supply to operate with most MIDI products.
